My Chiropractic Journey in El Paso TX

My father was a national champion wrestler in college in New York state. He sustained many injuries during those years and his coach would take the team to a chiropractor after every competition. He was seeing a chiropractor regularly here in El Paso TX. As a child, he would ask me to "walk on his back" and later on I would do manipulation by hand to help him and would even work on my aunt for her pain.

After graduating from Colorado State University, I started seeing a chiropractor myself and decided to go to Chiropractic College. I chose Logan College of Chiropractic in Saint Louis, Missouri because it had a reputation for producing the most successful chiropractors. The founder, Dr. Hugh B. Logan had developed a technique to not only give relief but to make lasting spinal corrections.

I opened my own Chiropractic Clinic in El Paso in 1978. Using the Logan technique, I was seeing 100 patients per week in one month. After my first year I had the largest practice in El Paso and within 10 years I had the largest Chiropractic office in Texas. The practice of Chiropractic changed when it was covered by insurance in the category of physical therapy. Over time, Chiropractors were doing mostly physical therapy and little or no actual Chiropractic care. "Chiro" is Greek for "hand", so "chiropractic" literally means "done by hand", which is how I practice.

In 2009, I opened Affordable Chiropractic and stopped accepting insurance so I could go back to doing real Chiropractic care at a reasonable price. Since then, I have been developing additional effective manual methods to treat not only the neck and back but all the joints, tendons and muscles of the body.
